Catherine Pooler | Seaside | 31 cards from one 6×6 paper pad | plus BONUS cards
Hello friends! I just love the new Seaside 6×6 paper pad from Catherine Pooler. I bought it as soon as it was released and quickly turned it into a set of cards. The colors are beautiful. Lots of blues, greens and a touch of pink. I bought a few other items from their new Waves of Happiness release, including the 4 new ink colors. I will admit, I now own every Catherine Pooler ink color. If you haven’t tried her inks before, I highly recommend them. The quality is amazing!
I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 31 cards. I also made 2 extra cards without using any pattern paper.
Because it takes many hours to turn a paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 5 times. The real time recording was around 5 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time.
Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
Here is the cardstock I pulled before starting on the 6×6 paper pad. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use. I list the brands and colors if I have the information. Some of my cardstock has been in my craft room for many, many years.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 3 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 14 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Cardstock colors – Caspian – Darice Atlantis – Bazzill Typhoon – Bazzill Moody Blue – Bazzill Light Blue – unknown
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. All of my cards are A2 size. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Catherine Pooler’s Seaside 6×6 paper pad.

I agree, the colors and the theme of this paper pad are wonderful. Such lovely shades with a cool feel to them. I think you chose some wonderful sketches to highlight the papers very well. Congrats on your full set of CP inks. I own one stamp pad. LOL It’s nice and juicy. 🙂 Thanks for sharing, Kristie. You always inspire with how productive a card creator you are.
Aw, thank you Jeanne! I just love this paper collection so much! No way I could resist purchasing it. Lol! It’s a bit embarrassing admitting I own the full collection of CP inks. Most are the mini size, but I do want to eventually upgrade to all full size, plus refills.🙂
Love the colors and all the cards!! It’s fun to see some older sketches, too. I am still planning to purchase some CP inks–they look great, but won’t until I use up a few others I have. I don’t have anymore storage! lol. Totally not embarrassing to have the full set–I would if I could! TFS!!
These cards are beautiful…as all of your cards are. Are there ANY tips you can give me to cut (freehand) the banner ends? I watch so closely when you do it, but mine ALWAYS come out crooked. Yours always look perfect! Thanks for sharing your cards and card making with us!
