Hello friends! I hope everyone has been having a wonderful 2020 year so far. I was fortunate enough to spend time at the Creativation trade show recently in Phoenix. It sure was nice to see the sun shining and not just have rain all day. Because I was gone for almost a week, I am a bit behind on my videos. It’s time to try to catch up! I have a long list of videos I’m hoping to work on in the next week or two. First up, I wanted to use up another 6×6 paper pad. At the beginning of the year, I set some crafty goals for myself. One of them is to use at least one paper pad that I already own every month. I’m still allowed to buy a few new releases. (Mostly because I can’t resist all the new lovely papers.)
I chose to use Carta Bella’s Flower Market collection. I bought it early last year and just ran out of time. It’s a gorgeous paper pad though, so I couldn’t let it just sit there any longer. If you are interested, the paper collection is still available. (Links are listed at the end of this post.) I didn’t buy any of the ephemera packs this time and just used a variety of stamp sets. Since I will be donating most of the cards to a local charity, I kept the cards nice and flat.
I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 30 cards.
Because it takes many hours to turn a 6×6 paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 6 times. The real time recording was just over 5 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
I’ve had a few requests to see a picture of all cardstock I first pull before starting on the cards. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 7 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 12 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Cardstock colors –
Black – Recollections
Pearlescent Turquoise – Darice
Light Fairy Pink – Color Mates
Nutmeg – Darice
Cherry Tomato – Darice
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. I also included some sketches by Queen & Company that were designed to work with their Foundation die sets. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Carta Bella’s Flower Market 6×6 paper pad.

Wow, you have been busy. Wonderful cards.
I love it when you use pads that I already own .. gives me the inspiration to use them instead of just collect them 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing, Kristie! These cards are lovely. The color combinations are light and soft. You did a great job helping the pretty papers to shine. Good luck with your goals. I've no doubt you will achieve anything you set your mind to. 🙂
you inspire me so much. I usually make at least 4 of the card designs from each video. So glad to use up some of my DP and cardstock.

Aw, thank you Jeanne! I loved this paper pad when I first bought it and was a bit sad I didn't get to it right away. So many amazing paper pads and kits, so little time. Lol!
Aw, thank you Patti! It's always a good feeling to use up some of that paper we've had around for many years. 🙂
Aw, thank you! I really enjoyed the newest FMS sketch. 🙂
Aw, thank you Judy! It drives me crazy to have to store all the leftover paper scraps, so I just finish off the whole paper pad at once. Thanks for another amazing card sketch! 🙂
Great job with a very pretty paper pad. You used a lot of new-to-me sketches and some old favorites. Yea for making your January goal! Thank you so much!
Thank you, Jennifer! I'm glad I got around to using this lovely paper collection. There was a reason I purchased it last year. 🙂
