Hello friends! I recently posted a poll on my Facebook and Instagram page asking whether I should use an autumn or a Christmas 6×6 paper pad next. Autumn won with twice as many votes. But no worries to all who voted for Christmas. There is still plenty of time to use some more Christmas 6×6 paper pads.
As for the autumn winners, I decided to use Carta Bella’s Fall Market collection. I purchased this paper pad as soon as it was released. It is really beautiful. I also picked up the coordinating ephemera pack. But unlike my previous two 6×6 videos, I did use some stamp sets this time.
I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 31 cards.
Because it takes many hours to turn a 6×6 paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 6 times. The real time recording was around 5 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 8 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 11 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Cardstock colors – (That I know)
Bazzill – Peanut Fudge
Darice – Reflecting Pool
Darice – Flower
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Carta Bella’s Fall Market 6×6 paper pad.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.
I appreciate your kindness and support!
Kristie,I would like to see your planning and prep methods. If I am trying to make a lot of cards I get into one big mess.
Gail
Thank you so much for the examples with the "wood grain" paper. I have some that came in a paper pack that I didn't want to use for scrapbooking. I now have a plan, thanks to you!!!
Kristie, I know you like specialty paper. I like it too. I shop paperandmore.com. They have nice shimmery paper and silver and gold foil paper. They don’t have foil “colors” like nuvo but their paper is really nice and less expensive. Just a thought.
Beautiful cards, Kristie. The papers in this pad are so pretty for fall. Great choice, excellent cards!
I really like this paper pad, especially that touch of blue and the apple trucks. Your addition of the specialty paper is the perfect complement to the designs. Favorites this time were Cardstv #18, OWH 93, & MFT 334. Thank you for all your hard work!!
Another fantastic video, Kristie! I packed up a bag of supplies and took it on vacation with me, determined to use up the paper pad (which was actually one of those 12×12 packs that I'd cut into 6×6 pieces). It was harder than you make it look… I only got 20 cards made during the week! I'm going to try again with a regular paper pad. I think that the large scale designs of the 12×12 paper made it harder to work with. Plus, I need to work on the duplicate thing… My 20 cards were all different! :). Thanks so much for the inspiration!!!!
I do have plans for a class series at some point. I would show my whole process from prep to how I select card sketches. It's a bit overwhelming at the moment though, so it will have to wait until after the holidays.
You are very welcome, Julie! I always enjoy the wood grain papers included in paper collections. 🙂
Thanks, Beth. I do enjoy specialty papers. I have collected quite a large assortment of Tonic Studios papers at the moment. I may have an addiction problem. Lol!
Thanks, Jeanne! Fall papers are always some of my favorites. 🙂
Thanks, Jennifer. I loved the touch of blue as well. It's always fun when there are a few non-traditional colors included. 🙂
Thanks, Tricia! How fun to bring some crafting supplies on vacation. 20 cards is great! And there's nothing wrong with all different cards. Remember, I don't make all the cards in one sitting. It usually takes me several days. And yes, using 12 x 12 paper can be a bit challenging with the large scale patterns. That's one of the reasons I love 6×6 paper pads. Plus they only have 24 sheets, most of the time, much easier to tackle than a full 12×12 paper pad. 🙂
