Hello friends! I know Christmas is still a few months away, but it’s never too early to make Christmas cards. Right? Especially when all the lovely new collections are already available. I always need a lot of Christmas cards every year. Many to donate and many to give to family and friends.
I decided to use the Christmas 6×6 paper pad from Carta Bella. It’s a beautiful paper collection with traditional reds and greens, along with touches of woodgrain and black.
There are a couple sheets of lovely image/sentiment cut aparts included. I did use quite a few of them along with several Christmas stamp sets I already own. I’ve noticed many companies haven’t released their new Christmas stamps yet. But I’m sure I’ll be purchasing a couple new sets. Especially since I’ll probably be making a few more Christmas card videos this year.
I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 35 cards.
Because it takes many hours to use up a 6×6 paper pad, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was just over 5 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 20 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 9 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Carta Bella’s Christmas 6×6 paper pad.

Kristie I checked your blog this morning "just in case" you had posted a new video – I was rewarded and very pleased.
I am in the process of making Christmas cards and needed a little boost. I especially like the Mojo Monday 469 & MFT 163 sketches, and will give them a try with this batch of cards.
Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put in to inspire the rest of us out here. I know that I am not the only one who waits eagerly for your next production ♥.
PS: Thanks to your husband for his behind the scenes work as well.
These are beautiful, Kristie. A lovely collection from a wonderful paper pad. It's always a delight when you've shared a new post. Thank you for all the time you and your husband put into creating the collections and videos. Your inspiration, time and dedication are so appreciated.
Great set of cards! How do you decide which sketches to use & how many cards you will make from one sketch?
I love all of your cards and videos but for some reason, this one made me pause and really reflect on your process and commitment to share joy with others. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful set of cards with the rest of us – I absolutely love it and plan to use this video to make a set of my own Christmas cards! Have a wonderful weekend! I cannot wait to see what you do next.
Love watching you put together all these cards, just love the way you use the card designs and make them yours. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice and sophisticated Christmas cards. I really like the MFT sketches and the one from Robin's craft room. I tried the Mojo Monday sketch for a Halloween card and it is was great. Thank you for showing that! Even thought I have a collection of sketches, it really helps to see your finished cards! Thank you for another inspirational video!
I love your videos. 🙂
Maybe there will be videos of Echo Park's Merry & Bright, Carta Bella's Santa's Workshop and Doodlebug's Christmas Town paper pads?
Aw, thank you! I'm glad I could give you a little boost to get started on your own Christmas cards. I really enjoyed using this lovely paper collection.
I'm slowly learning all the extra steps my husband has always helped with, so his role is getting smaller. 🙂
Thank you, Jeanne! This really is a lovely Christmas paper collection. Now to figure out which paper pad to use next. Hmmm…
Thank you, Barb! I generally choose sketches based on what paper scraps are available. But sometimes, I'll start with a new-to-me sketch simply because I want to try it. I don't have a specific number planned for how many cards I'll make using each sketch. Whatever strikes my mood, I guess. I do tend to make 4 cards from the first few sketches though. 🙂
Thank you, Adrienne! I appreciate your kindness. I find joy making cards and it just feels right to share that joy with others. I'm so glad I could provide some inspiration for you to create your own cards. Happy crafting! 🙂
Thank you, Charmane! I appreciate your kindness. 🙂
Thank you, Jennifer! I'm glad you are enjoying the card sketches. You know I'm a huge fan and I'm so grateful for the talented sketch designers. I hope you have a wonderful day! 🙂
Thank you, Sanna! I'm not sure which Christmas paper collection I will use next. The Doodlebug one looks super cute. 🙂
