Hello and welcome to the first card challenge of July for Cards in Envy. The theme is Twinkle Little Stars. Create a card using STARS.

In the United States, we are celebrating Independence Day on July 4th. So I decided to make patriotic card featuring lots and lots of stars. The pattern paper is from an older Doodlebug Design collection. And the MFT card sketch was perfect for really showing off the fun star paper.

Sketch – MFT #183

Paper – Doodlebug Design – Patriotic Parade

Sentiment stamp – Reverse Confetti

Star die – Spellbinders

Ink – Reverse Confetti

  • Great patriotic card Kristie! I thought you used up all your paper in one shot–how do you have left overs? (just kidding you). I tend to get tired of a pad about halfway through, so I always seem to have to find a way to store it, so I totally get why you finish it up. Problem solved! Happy 4th!

  • Thank you, Jennifer! I have a few paper pads that don't get used up right away that I use for individual cards. Especially for challenges. But, I actually have used up this paper collection. I used it for the 90 Independence Day cards I needed for a local retirement home. I just didn't share all of the cards this time. 🙂

  • Catching up on posts and wanted to say I really like this patriotic one. Great sketch and I adore how it shows off all the fun and colorful stars. Makes for a great patriotic card! So well done. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂

  • Thank you, Jeanne! I always enjoy making patriotic cards. The color combination is just perfect. 🙂
