Welcome to the newest card challenge from Cards in Envy. It’s a color theme this time, Purple & Green. This would be super fun for a Halloween card. I chose to make a non-seasonal card, although the paper pad is Halloween themed. I used this darling dragon stamp set from My Favorite Things. Since Cards in Envy cards need to stay fairly flat so no extra postage is needed for mailing, I only used a little bit of dimension with Tombow Xtreme tabs. And instead of using thick and bulky brads, I simply die cut some small circles and added Glossy Accents giving them the look of enamel bling.
Sketch – My Favorite Things #221
Paper – Doodlebug – Halloween Parade and Ghouls & Goodies collections
Stamps – My Favorite Things
Die cuts – My Favorite Things
Markers – Copic
Ink – Memento and Versafine
Glossy Accents
I hope you have time to play with us over at Cards in Envy. Just remember, cards need to be flat enough to mail, so no thicker than 1/4″.
Some of my favorite and commonly used crafting tools:
Tonic Studios guillotine paper trimmer
Scotch ATG (Advanced Tape Glider) glue gun
Sizzix BIGkick die cut machine
We R Memory Keepers brad setter and piercing tool
We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper
Scotch Mounting Tape 3/4″
Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive liquid glue
