The first challenge of September over at Cards in Envy is to create a masculine card. I thought this lighthouse stamp would be perfect for a guy card. Especially because it still looks good uncolored. I was hoping the embossed background would look like burlap, but I’m not sure it worked out that way.

Wonderful card!
Kristie, love the blue and brown colors together. Great embossed background and border for your lighthouse scene! There's a wonderful balance to your card. ~ Marilyn
Awesome card. My father who loves to fish would love this. It reminds me of the Boston Lighthouse (there's good fishing and lobstering out there). I love this image and the colors you chose.
Such a great image for a manly card. I love the color combo you went with and great embossed background.
The embossed background and stamped image is perfect for this challenge! Love it!
LOVE the colors and image and SUCH a cool background!!!
Yes, it does look like burlap and love the colors you picked. You rocked this card.
I love this manly card! The lighthouse image is wonderful and I love that it is black and white. So striking!
I think the embossed background looks great, and the stripes and houndstooth patterns add visual "texture" to your card. The colors are terrific – soft but also earthy and masculine. Fantastic job! 🙂
Your lighthouse image is just gorgeous Kristie, and I love the wonderful color combo and embossing of your card. A fabulous design all round for our Manly Challenge. Love it! xx
