The first challenge of September over at Cards in Envy is to create a masculine card. I thought this lighthouse stamp would be perfect for a guy card. Especially because it still looks good uncolored. I was hoping the embossed background would look like burlap, but I’m not sure it worked out that way.

  • Awesome card. My father who loves to fish would love this. It reminds me of the Boston Lighthouse (there's good fishing and lobstering out there). I love this image and the colors you chose.

  • I love this manly card! The lighthouse image is wonderful and I love that it is black and white. So striking!

  • I think the embossed background looks great, and the stripes and houndstooth patterns add visual "texture" to your card. The colors are terrific – soft but also earthy and masculine. Fantastic job! 🙂

  • Your lighthouse image is just gorgeous Kristie, and I love the wonderful color combo and embossing of your card. A fabulous design all round for our Manly Challenge. Love it! xx
