It’s time for the 2nd card challenge for September over at Cards in Envy. It’s time to go Retro! The challenge is to create a card featuring a style, fashion or design from the past. I’ll admit, this was a bit of a struggle for me. I planned on using the typewriter stamp, but I really had to search through my paper stash for something that felt old-fashioned. I think this paper from Crate Paper works very well, especially after I distressed the edges.

I decided to make a second card after another Design Team member mentioned October Afternoon papers. I remembered I had this space themed 8×8 paper pad with a sheet of old ads. I think it definitely fits the Retro category.

Kristie, I just love both of your cards! The typewriter is so Retro and the moon shoes ad is perfect. Great job!
Well for me it doesn't seem that long ago that I learned to type on one of those! Very retro indeed. Love your card design! And your moon shoe ad card is fabulous too!
These are both amazing!! Love them!
I remember learning to type on one of hose typewriters and getting my fingers stuck cause yped oo fast for it. Great job with the card.
Both of your cards are perfectly retro! Love them!
Two great cards. I learned to type on a typewriter just like the one on your first card. Love the moon shoes on the second! ~ Marilyn
I love both cards, great job. The background papers on the first one look just like the wallpaper on my parents bedroom wall back in the day … very retro. Great job 🙂
