Hello and welcome to the first card challenge of April for Cards in Envy! The theme is Get Negative! We want to see cards using the negative space of a die or punch. I used some fun stitched star dies from Lil Inker Designs and added pattern paper in the negative space. I love that the dies add a faux stitched border around the cut out image. This card will be part of the Teacher Appreciation Day cards I am making for the entire staff at my daughter’s school.
Paper – Doodlebug Design – Kraft in Color collection
Sentiment stamp – Reverse Confetti
Stitched star dies – Lil Inker Designs
Stitched rectangle die – MFT
Epoxy Stickers – The Paper Studio
Ink – Reverse Confetti
Be sure to check out the rest of the Cards in Envy design team’s cards. I’d love for you to play along with our card challenge. Just remember to keep your card fairly flat so it fits nicely in an envelope.
Thanks for visiting my blog today!
Terrific card, Kristie. Bright and colorful. Sure to make a teacher smile. You are very generous and ambitious to make a card for each member of the staff. That is awesome. I like the stitching around the stars. It finishes the look and the enamel dots add a lovely texture and shine. 🙂
Great card. It would work for an adult or child.
Beautiful card Kristie!
Thank you, Jeanne! I've really been having fun making so many school themed cards. Usually I only make one or two cards each year. 🙂
Thank you, Debbie! 🙂
Thank you, Lisa! 🙂
Just adore these colors plus the clean and simplicity of your design!
