Hello and welcome to a new card challenge for Cards in Envy. The theme is Feeling Blue or “Distressed“. Create a cards with Distress inks and a lot of the color blue.

I didn’t use any pattern paper for my card. Instead, I created the background using a MFT polka dot stamp and Distress inks. I used the same blue ink for my cute little monster. I love how the monster is waving hello thru the window.

Background stamp – MFT

Image and sentiment stamps – MFT

Image die – MFT

Peek-a-Boo circle die – MFT

Inks – Ranger Distress Oxide and Reverse Confetti

Be sure to check out the rest of the Cards in Envy design team’s cards. I’d love for you to play along with our card challenge. Just remember to keep your card fairly flat so it fits nicely in an envelope.

  • Very cute card, Kristie. That polka dot background stamp sure looks like pattern paper. Great stamp and you can get a lot of mileage from it, I'm sure. 🙂 Your little monster is pretty cute waving out his window. Great job on this card! Have a great day. 🙂

  • Thank you, Jeanne! It's the first background stamp I've ever purchased. But I think it's something I will use quite a bit. At least when I'm not reaching for fun pattern papers. 🙂

  • Great background stamp, and that monster is super cute. I really like the peek-a-boo opening in your circle!
