Altenew – Enjoy the Ride – 28 cards from one 6×6 paper pad
Hello friends! Thank you to everyone for all the kind comments and prayers about my recent glaucoma surgery. It went well and I’m feeling really good. Don’t worry, I am still resting and not spending much time on devices right now.
Before surgery, I did record a 6×6 video, but ran out of time to finish editing it. I used Altenew’s Enjoy the Ride collection. I’ve never used their paper pads before and this collection is so pretty. I also purchased the coordinating ephemera packs. I especially like the bouquet builder pack with all the pretty flowers.
Because it takes many hours to turn a paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 6 times. The real time recording was around 5 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time.
Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
Here is the cardstock I pulled before starting on the 6×6 paper pad. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use. I list the brands and colors if I have the information. Some of my cardstock has been in my craft room for many, many years.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 10 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 4 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. All of my cards are A2 size. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Altenew Enjoy the Ride 6×6 paper pad.

I’m glad the surgery went well AND that you are still resting your eyes from devices. This looks like a unique and colorful paper pad. You’ve showcased it beautifully with your cards. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂 Keep up the good resting. 😉
Thank you, Jeanne! The procedure was very noninvasive so recovery wasn’t bad. I’m still making sure not to be on devices very long though. I’ve had this beautiful paper collection for about a month and really enjoyed the bright and cheerful colors. Perfect during a gloomy, rainy winter. 🙂
Gorgeous cards! I love the bold floral prints and the pretty ephemera. Those greens!!! My favorite cards were made from MjM 541, but all of the cards were great. The Concord & 9th green ink looks amazing! I am so glad to hear you are on the mend–take your time getting back to your routine. This was a wonderful bonus video to tide us over until you are back in the swing of things. 🙂 Take care and thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Jennifer! The paper collection is so pretty. I really needed some pretty florals during this rainy winter in WA. I was trying to get the video finished before surgery, but that just didn’t happen. It was nice to have the video almost ready though so I could post something while I recovered. I hope you have a lovely weekend! 🙂
Hi Kristie! So happy to hear you are doing well! Do a lot of resting and taking care of you! Sending hugs and prayers your way!
Thank you, Vicki! Don’t worry, I am still resting my eye and taking my breaks.
