I haven’t been making very many cards lately since I’ve been super busy. After Christmas was my daughter’s 4th birthday and of course, the party. Then I was making lots of card kits for Operation Write Home to use in their booth at CHA. And this year, I got to attend my first CHA! It was so fun! I worked a few shifts in the OWH booth, got to walk around and check out all the other booths, did a few Make and Takes. But the highlight of the trip for me was getting to meet Becky Higgins. I have been a huge fan for a long time. She was so kind and took time out of her busy day to talk with me.
I showed Becky a picture of a custom cabinet my father made for me to house all my Project Life cards. I had given him a rough sketch of what I wanted, and he built this beautiful cabinet. It’s not quite finished, but almost. Becky and her husband, David, were both impressed. Then Becky asked if she could take a picture of me holding the photo to post on her Facebook page. How cool is that? Now tons of people want my father to make a cabinet for them, as well. But, they’ll have to find someone else, since he’s not interested in making anymore. I can’t wait until it’s done.
How exciting to meet Becky Higgins! Too bad special orders for PL organizer isn't available. I would love to have one. Very cool.
