Hello friends! I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. I’m definitely way behind on making my cards and I’ll need around 100 this year. Most will be donated to a local retirement home. I’ll include a hand written message inside each card for the residents.

I used Queen & Company’s Monster Love Kit. It’s a darling card kit that can be used to create lots of fun love monsters. With or without the pom poms. The kit contains a 6×6 paper pad, stamp set, dies, pom poms, eyeball stickers, and the specialty gloobers to adhere the pom poms.

In addition to the kit, I also used some of the dies from the Monster Mash Kit. It’s a great way to expand the variety of monsters you can create since the 2 kits work well together. I also used the Monster Bling Bundle add on and the Pretty Glitter Paper. They both compliment the paper collection beautifully and it’s always fun to add a little extra sparkle to the cards.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial to make 32 cards.

Because it takes longer to glue all the monsters together, this video is a bit longer than my usual 6×6 videos. The real time recording was just over 6 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 5 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 16 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Cardstock colors –

Berry Sensation – Bazzill

April Lovely – Coredinations

Bazzill Red – Bazzill

Embossed Poolside – Bazzill

Blues – unknown

Black – Recollections

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home and some Mojo Monday sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Queen & Company Monster Love Kit.

  • Awesome! Looking forward to receiving my kit. 😉 Thank you for always inspiring and being such a good enabler. Well, my wallet is not so sure about that last part! LOL Some of the sketches look new to me. I have to share that I used a sketch for a card other than one of your tutorials. Yay! I'm getting the hang of using them. 🙂 Have a great week!

  • Thank you, Jeanne! It's hard not be be an enabler when I really love the products. I hope you enjoy the kit as much as I did. Awesome job using the card sketch. You know I just love them and will continue to share new sketches when I find them. I hope you have a wonderful day! 🙂

  • Love your cards!! I have just recently happened upon your cards and your Youtube channel and must say I love what you create! I look forward to seeing more cards!! I read that you scrapbook as well…do you post any of your layouts? Thanks for the inspiration!!

  • Thank you for your kindness! I really appreciate it.
I used to do traditional scrapbooking, but have switched to pocket page style and also using the Project App. I rarely ever share my layouts. (Mostly because I'm a bit behind and spend more time making cards.)
