Welcome to my Christmas in July 6×6 Series.

It’s never too early to get started on Christmas cards. I tend to forget about it until the beginning of November. Then I’m trying to rush to get them all done and ready to mail. Not this year. I decided to use the Here Comes Santa Claus collection from Doodlebug Design and my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial to make cards. It feels great to already have a nice stack of Christmas cards done. Especially in July!

I made a total of 43 cards using one 6×6 paper pad.

I recorded my entire process of disappearing the 6×6 paper pad. The video is sped up 8 times since the full recording time was around 5 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cut time. I also created separate videos for each sketch used. Go HERE to see the first video in the series.

You can watch the video above or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 37 sheets of  8 1/2″ x 11″ solid colored cardstock. Here are all the leftover scraps.

Here are the pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Doodlebug Design’s Here Comes Santa Claus 6×6 paper pad.

  • Hi Kristie
I follow you religiously and love your videos on 6 x 6 paper pads my question is do you use the same card stock that you use for card bases to color with copics?
    Thank You so much

  • Thank you, Nanci! I appreciate your support. 🙂 Since I don't color very often, I sometimes use the same paper as my card bases. But I do try to use Neenah 80 lb paper when I think about it.

  • I always look forward to your 6×6 posts and videos. Well, I actually look forward to all your posts. This will be so fun to watch when I have a bit of time tomorrow. Thanks for doing all the hard work for the rest of us. It's MUCH appreciated. PS: I also enjoy our shared "OCD" with making sure things are straight and trimmed just right.

  • Thank you, Lucy! You are so kind. I hope you enjoy my Christmas video. Nothing wrong with a little OCD in the card making world. Glad I'm not the only one. 🙂 Have a wonderful day!

  • Hi Kristie. Just found your videos on youtube and am enjoying watching them all. You use some kind of glitter sticker strips (long skinny ones that come on a sheet). Where do you get those? Thank you.

  • Hello. Thank you for watching my videos. I'm happy to hear you are enjoying them. 🙂 The Peel Off stickers are an exclusive item sold at Love From Lizi. It is a UK company, so shipping is a bit more expensive. But I absolutely love using the Peel Offs and own almost every color.
