Over the past 6 months, I have been sending out Kindness cards. Mostly to random people and many times anonymously. There are so many different stamp companies that have awesome Kindness stamp sets available now. I’ve purchased quite a few fun sets and thought it would be fun to use my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and make all Kindness cards. Since I generally give cards to females, the Flora No.1 collection from Carta Bella was perfect. Lots of feminine colors and pretty flowers.

I recorded the entire disappearing 6×6 process and this time I also created separate videos for each sketch used. At the end of the 6×6 series, I will post the sped up version of the entire tutorial.

For my first cards, I used a sketch from My Favorite Things. I do not design card sketches, but I do figure out the measurements for A2 size cards. Go HERE to see how I come up with the measurements.

I made 4 cards using this sketch.

  • Hi Kristie, love your blog. You are so kind to send out your cards. Just curious. Who do you mean by random people? How do you choose who to give to and how do you do it anonymously?

  • Thank you, Caroline! My church has a directory list of all the members with their addresses. I've been mailing cards to different people on the directory, whether I know them or not. I've also mailed cards to people I don't know and was given their address by a friend or family member knowing they may need a little cheering up. I simply include my message, but don't sign my name or leave a return address. I want to brighten someone's day, but I don't need acknowledgement for it.

  • I'm sure it does brighten their day. You've inspired me to make some feel good cards for my local nursing home. Many blessings to you. Xx

  • You do such a wonderful job on your cards. I like the notion of signing the card but leaving off the return. I have saved all my 6" x 6" paper pads that haven't been 'assigned' to a project to make a card stack like this. Thank you for your inspiration.

  • Great way to get names! Yay to Caroline for making cards for a nursing home. That's sure to brighten everyone's day!
